Triskele

 About Triskelia Craftworks

"What does Triskelia mean?"

The Triskele is a symbol found in some of the earliest Celtic art.  The number three was spiritually significant to the ancient Celts, and there are many ways to interpret the three-armed triskele symbol.  To some, its arms are thought to represent the ancient Celtic elements of land, sea and sky.  To others, it symbolizes unity and strength in numbers. To still others, it evokes the Christian trinity.

To us, it represents the three women who make up Triskelia - three mothers, three wives, and three talented artists and businesswomen.
